Canadian Institute of Osteopathic Therapy (CIOT), located in Calgary, Alberta is a fully licensed and approved private academic institute offering programs in Osteopathic therapy. Our dynamic team of industry professionals are committed to delivering the highest quality of education. We look forward to being able to offer new programs in the future.
CIOT is also the delivery partner for Portage College continuing education programs in Business and education related fields. As of May 15, 2024, we are not taking registrations for these programs. Students currently in the programs will have until September 2026 to complete their programs.
Our beautiful modern campus in Downtown Calgary is conveniently located close to the Kerby-Downtown West station. We offer 13 large beautiful classrooms for study with 2 separate student lounge areas as well as private and group study facilities.
Portage College is working with CIOT to provide access to Portage College continuing education programs in the Calgary metropolitan area. Portage College is a public college with over 7 campuses spread across northeast Alberta. This enables students to access the high-quality programming of Portage College while living and working in the metropolitan environment of Calgary.
We don't have All our current students and students who started before May 15th are eligible for their work permit and are not impacted by the recent announcement by the IRCC. As per the announcement by IRCC any student starting after May 15th in these programs would not be eligible for the PGWP.
Osteopathy is a branch of medical practice that emphasizes treatment by massage, stretching and manipulation to create Muscularskeletal well-being and to rebalance the body's structure to enhance nerve function and blood flow. We offer a two year Osteopathic Muscularskeletal Practice Program and a 5 year Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Therapy. These programs are not eligible for the PGWP.
